Juuriltaan irroitettu Haltijakansa /

Forest Spirits removed from their roots

Luonto on työssäni suurin taiteilija.
Asettelin kannot suhteessa maisemaan. Ne ovat luonteeltaan väliaikaisia, hetkellisiä teoksia. Huovan väri haalistuu riippuen auringonvalon voimakkuudesta.

Tree stumps were removed by the forestry industry, transported from the forest to the park, and covered with felt, like tight-fitting underwear or baby's romper suit…

I covered the tree stumps with felt. This accentuates the forms created by nature, not by human hand. Nature is the greatest artist in my works.
I placed the tree stumps in relation to the landscape. They are by nature transient and temporary art works. The colour of the felt will fade, depending on the amount of sunlight.
